The home with bones. Good quality bones that have the home nimble – flexible to honour what it is and what it can be. Carrying that energy into planning, upping functionality while executing this custom 3-stage renovation that as a result, rejuvenates this Old Rothesay dwelling. Finding ways to empower its layout to be useful, bright, fashionable yet blended. The renovation had to look its part and the other parts of the home. For instance, we didn’t do much in the main dining room. Yet it looks like the rest of the completed renovation parts.
Phase I: Main Floor & Master Bedroom Revamp
Starting with phase one, the Vantage Build team took to the the main floor layout to transform an enclosed, cornered kitchen and family room to a comfortable, airy living/cooking quarters. All with crystal clear sight lines to the pool area. The kitchen connects to a breakfast nook, views of the hearty fireplace, main level laundry, open casual living room and a backyard beautifully built for entertainment. Beveled shaker style Select Kitchen cabinetry, Beamer’s Creek Woodworking walnut ledge, new pot and pendant LED lighting sources, matte gold hardware, fireclay tile backsplash, marble quartz countertops, wall mount oven with a convention oven on top. It’s past world traits with new world customization. Coming together to make this kitchen one that is hard to take eyes off.
The master bedroom and ensuite tie-in with the modernly warm main level feel. Knowing these spaces would serve as a personal sanctuary, they were put together with a selection of finishes that leave the feeling of restoration after every use. A great layout is often an indicator of a great space, for instance. This space is long and narrow, stacking one wall with all fixtures. But the fixtures come at the price of space. The soaker tub is deep and long, double vanity a necessity, height is needed for armed wall sconces, width for a custom mirror. It’s packed, but doesn’t feel that way.
Phase II: Lower Level Living
This level is useful, really roomy, connected and and well lit. Suited for the owners and their company to use, host or stay in. Custom built-ins allow for the most optimal display of storage, books ands trinkets, with nooks that line lengthwise. A guest bathroom on this level is home to a new shower, hexagon tile floors, subway tile backsplash and a fresh coat of paint. A quiet guest bedroom was established that feels lightyears away from the rest of the home.
Phase III: A Fireplace That Evolves An Entire Room
The warmth here is an undeniable factor on first glance. Placing a stand-out white marble tile around the fireplace here seemed only fitting to make a statement. Still complimenting the other warm tones of the room as a result. Rewiring everything behind the scenes here made this fireplace a functional, eye-catching addition to a warmingly enthused room.
