A Notice-Me Blue Kitchen Renovation In Quispamsis
If you crave colour in your home, you’ll be obsessed with this flawlessly completed stand-out contemporary kitchen renovation. In this case, Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy is the notice-me hue of the room, bringing an overall comforting and contrasted feel that is sure to stay fresh. To start off this renovation, a portion of the partition wall and flooring were removed, as well as the original cabinets and bulk heads. Working alongside Avondale Kitchens, their team completed the design, fabrication and installation of kitchen elements.
Shaker style cabinetry enclosed and trimmed to the ceiling allows for the feel of additional height in this already well-sized kitchen. Lots of natural light is allowed in this space, illuminating all that glorious deep blue. Clean-lined glass display cabinetry highlights delicates on the top shelf with its own custom lighting in a visible yet safe manner. Topped off with detailing of gold vintage bin and gold flat bar pulls as hardware, unique tones offer a blue mood, but in a good way.
The opposite side of the room features an ashy wood toned breakfast bar with open shelf display, similarly styled hardware and identical white classically veined quartz as on the Hale Navy side of the kitchen. This addition provides a warm contrast to the cool blue and is perfectly in line colour wise with the client-chosen tiled flooring. Custom under cabinet lighting adds a touch of luminance and luxury.
Hardwood floors were installed in the living room, along with new casings, baseboards and a contemporary 3-panel barn door. Adding privacy between the main entrance and complimenting the colour palette being painted in Benjamin Moore’s Van Deusen, this ingenious barn door is an impressive aesthetic addition as well as instant focal point and space saver.
The Vantage Build team performed the installation of both styles of kitchen backsplash; one being a texturized off-white subway tile and the other a light blue medium-scale pattern tile. This assembly of visual elements bring the blue the attention it deserves. New drywall was hung over top of the existing to hide the stucco, and all necessary plumbing was un-hooked and re-set around the kitchen sink, taps, dishwasher and water to the fridge. Adding a fresh coat of paint to the entire main level and up the stairs to the end of the hall completed the renovation to this fun yet sophisticated ravishing blue beauty kitchen / dining room combo.
